Sr Staff Accountant

BASIC PURPOSE: Support Musket’s joint venture day-to-day activities, with focus on the general ledger, including the close processes, and assist the Controller with Financial Statement analysis and variance analysis/explanation for our joint venture (JV).     

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Month-end periodic close process (monthly/annual) for JV
• Prepare and upload monthly journal entries
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations with fluctuation explanations
• Monthly general & administrative allocations
• Reconcile intercompany transactions
• Interact with internal and external auditors
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and/or analysis for JV monthly/quarterly/annually
• Other duties assigned as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

Experience:

• 4+ years of accounting experience in the energy industry preferred
• Exposure to SolArc Right Angle and SAP is preferred

• Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficiency in Excel

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
