BASIC PURPOSE: The Sr Scheduler of Crude position will manage the trading Portfolio and its associated resources as it relates to scheduling and trading for Musket Energy Canada LLC.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule crude oil and condensate across major Canadian and U.S. pipelines and feeder pipelines. Enter/change nominations, manage allocations, and maintain inventories.
- Communicate effectively with upper management to back office through the complete life cycle of a trade (including imports/exports of commodities).
- Maintain constant communications about scheduling plans with traders, Mid-Office, Back-Office, and third-party personnel. Reconcile any discrepancies with accounting and SRA. Notify traders of potential scheduling conflicts and suggest ways to mitigate.
- Right Angle: Retrieve and enter movement tickets, enter trades, schedule movements, create/schedule inter-book physical and futures inter-books.
- Review deal entries in SRA, calculate position, position change, and change explanation.
- Maintain rail loadings, term deals, and future date info & origin starts report.
- Price EFP’s with brokers.
- Maintain a credit report for future credit risks.
- Develop Mid-Office personnel.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or similar
- Experience:
- 15 yrs minimum scheduling Canadian and U.S. Crude and Condensate pipelines
- Rail and marine experience also beneficial
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Skills:
- Hard Skills: Intimate working knowledge around scheduling crude through various means of transportation. Experienced with different grades / specs of crude, Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Solarc Right Angle,
- Soft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self-motivated, good time management skills, and innovative thinking
- Typical Physical Demands:
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision
