You will be hands on with respect to enabling the use of advanced analytical techniques to support the decision making and measurement of initiatives that directly impact revenue and profitability of Musket.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Musket Trading team, exhibiting the qualifications and skills listed below:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly skilled in the areas of applied mathematics, advanced analytical models including linear regression and time-series analysis, and data integration
- Highly proficient in Python
- Strong experience working with large, heterogeneous datasets, including data acquisition, transformation/cleansing, and loading into Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Ability to analyze large data sets to determine relevance and identify anomalies
- Passion for solving problems using a variety of advanced analytical methods
- Proven experience with troubleshooting principles and issue resolution techniques
- In-depth, hands-on knowledge of data engineering tools preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build data pipelines to acquire, load, and cleanse data sets and prep them for analytical use
- Apply quantitative analysis to understand and communicate the value of a data asset and how it can be used to create meaningful insights
- Develop analytical models that expose opportunities related to the trading market
- Develop systems to analyze and react to incoming data in real time and create tools for advanced mathematical modeling.
- Build automated ETL pipelines to support rapid but controlled transition from research to live trading
- Develop analytical libraries and tools leveraging both open source and proprietary numerical software packages
- Identify gaps in processes and/or technologies and offer recommendations for improvement
- Build strong working relationships with the trading team and gain a fundamental understanding of their business
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical field

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
