Scheduler of Refined Products

BASIC PURPOSE: Manage the Musket Commercial Refined Products Trading Portfolio and its associated resources.

                                                                                                               

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule various refined products with third-party customers within the Colonial, Magellan, and Explorer pipelines. Enter/change nominations, manage allocations, and maintain inventories
  • Maintain constant communications about scheduling plans with Trading, Marketing, Mid-Office, Accounting and 3rd party personnel. Reconcile any discrepancies with Accounting and RA. Notify traders of potential scheduling conflicts and suggest ways to mitigate.
  • Right Angle: Retrieve and enter movement tickets, enter trades, schedule movements, create/schedule inter-book physical and futures inter-books.  Maintain organized spreadsheets.
  • Input trades into R.A., calculate position, position change, and change explanation. Maintain term deals, and future date info & origin starts report. Price EFP’s with brokers. Maintain a credit report for future credit risks.
  • Develop Mid-Office personnel by ensuring data is accurate for pnl reporting and Accounting.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • High school Diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business a plus

Experience:

  • 2 + yrs Scheduling Pipelines mentioned above with 3rd parties
  • Marine scheduling a plus
  • Rack scheduling a plus

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Hard Skills: Have attended Scheduling training classes such as Colonial University, have knowledge of various pipelines, Gasoline grades, Gasoline Specs, Trading strategies on the pipe (line space, off-lines, book outs), etc.
    • Soft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, innovative thinking, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self-motivated, good time management skills, and being a team player

 

     TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
