Refined Products Trader

BASIC PURPOSE: This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the Upper Mid-West Business unit. It involves ensuring supply for Loves as well as Musket wholesale throughout the gulf coast, south east, and midcontinent regions; developing and executing a trading strategy; managing the embedded risk in the base load portfolio; and managing both top line and bottom line earnings

           

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Get physical deliverable product supplied to the regional traders.
  • Trade and manage Mid-West basis exposure
  • Trade and manage Nymex calendar spreads
  • Make markets for markets to execute fixed forwards
  • Effectively Manage asset base
  • Other duties assigned as needed.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • High school Diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business
  • Experience:
  • 5 years industry experience

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Soft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self motivated, good time management skill, and excellent analytical skills
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
