Accounting Supervisor- Back Office

BASIC PURPOSE: The basic purpose of this position is to supervise the general ledger, including the close processes, and assist the Controller with Financial Statement analysis and variance analysis/explanation for our joint venture (JV).

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise the JV periodic close process (monthly/annual)
• Supervise the general ledger and transaction types leading to general ledger entries
• Review and analyze the monthly financial statements, preparing explanations for significant changes for JV.
• Monitor the daily transactions in Solarc RightAngle to ensure accuracy/completeness for JV.
• Review joint venture monthly balance sheet workpapers – prepare if necessary for the account
• Interact with external auditors to complete the year-end audit
• Prepare variance analysis and explanations monthly/quarterly/annually
• Oversee daily settlement to ensure cash flow is timely with joint venture
• Other duties assigned as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting or Finance preferred
• CPA license or eligible to sit for the exam and commensurate experience preferred
• Experience: 5-8 years’ experience in corporate accounting; energy industry & RightAngle experience a plus
