BASIC PURPOSE: Execute a flawless operation consistent with all Hazmat, DOT, OSHA and FRA regulations while maintaining a superior level of customer service. Accountable to ensure the terminal is in good working order 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, while keeping SAFETY the #1 goal.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complies with all state, federal and local legal requirements by managing gasoline and diesel inventories; Reviewing existing and new state requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on any needed actions.
- Daily paperwork, including but not limited to daily inventory, sales and tank train receipts.
- Responsible for all terminal maintenance and repairs, also all daily, quarterly and monthly inspections.
- Provides high level of customer service by carding and training drivers when needed.
- Training of new employees to provide an environment that supports continuous learning and improvement.
- Document all carrier and proprietary related incidents and notify upper management.
- Ensures loading rack is in a good working condition at all times.
- Supervises terminal operator team’s daily work.
- Responds 24/7 to all emergency related activities.
- Perform daily Terminal inspections to assure cleanliness and operation efficiency.
- File and maintain the required paperwork according to the guidelines set by the FRA, and CFR title 49.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education:
- High school Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience:
- At least one year offloading rail cars

- Hard Skills: Working knowledge of DOT, Hazmat, OSHA, and FRA regulations
- Soft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, data entry, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self motivated, good time management skill, ability to multitask and excellent analytical skills
- Typical Physical Demands:
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 70 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
- Must be able to climb up and down rail cars.
- Valid driver’s license.
