BASIC PURPOSE: Develop, train, and support/audit field teams and locations to achieve high results relative to Love’s operational processes, brand and culture. Identify opportunities and assist in creating solutions for success and maximizing profitability.


General Responsibilities

  • Act as “boots on the ground” for any corporate department which has no field representation. (Atlas, Cash Auditing, Inventory Research Team, Supply Chain, Loss Prevention, Pricebook, CI team, EDI team and various IT departments).
  • Assist in rating a store’s adherence to customer commitments, task list usage, communication and payroll.
  • Assist in development projects
  • Attend and train staff at new store openings.
  • Analyze P&Ls, 13-week trend and other reports to identify opportunities.
  • Award Golden Heart points, post on the Love’s Now App, and use other methods to highlight or recognize field team member performance.
  • Maintain expense records and submissions for re-imbursement as needed. Create a personal work schedule and be responsible for logistic and travel plans. Communicate with store management regarding scheduling and performance expectations. Record maintenance of vehicle and mileage.
  • Follow all of Love’s Policies as well as abide by the Rules and Regulations.
  • Perform other duties as recognized and assigned by the Field Auditing Manager.

Inventory Management

  • Generate and analyze reports that assist in asset management.
  • Ensure accurate receiving, returns and use of electronic vendor log. Audit purchase for resale invoices for business expenses.
  • Ensure counts are performed timely and accurately in all business units. Schedule and supervise full counts within the store and truck care center.
  • Scan dead merchandise as well as ones, nones, and tons to investigate errors in set-ups and aliases and/or determine if items are being stolen. Investigation processes include utilizing all reporting and technology available to track merchandise movement.
  • Work with store teams on training initiatives that affect inventory and cash management. Serve as the first point of contact for questions and concerns from managers and IMCs regarding inventory management

Cash Management

  • Audit cash and other processes that affect cash reconciliation in stores on a per visit basis.
  • Audit P-Card, cash paid-out and other expenses.
  • Identify and investigate issues with cashier performance on the POS equipment.
  • Facilitate any issues with the cash recycler including courier performance, technology issues, training, and user set up and credentials.

Other support

  • Follow up on action plans from other support staff visits. Follow up on tag maintenance, promo execution and other merchandising initiatives as directed.
  • Conduct LP/Compliance Walks on non-Full Audit visits. Ensure stores are following non-negotiable loss control procedures.
  • Complete a recap or action plan of every store visit and report to Supervisors, Other Support Departments as needed, DMs and DD’s the results of visits.
  • Complete weekly recaps and track issues to identify global issues or store specific recurring problems. Complete a quarterly bonus spreadsheet.



  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Multi-unit retail/restaurant/customer service supervisory experience preferred.



  • Skills:
    • Hard Skills: Hard skills: Strong business acumen and knowledge of receiving and inventory management; basic computer skills, follow all safety protocols and recognize/encourage others to do so; maintain expected driving record; ability to handle money responsibly and perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
    • Soft Skills:  Excellent written and oral communication/training skills; excellent listening and interpersonal skills; highly self-motivated and directed; keen attention to detail; proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, environment; strong customer service orientation; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, ever-evolving environment; ability to work within budgeted expenses; scheduling/logistics-plan to work away from home up to 5 days per week; strong sense of integrity, ethical and moral standards, Ability to manage and measure the workload while delegating and following up to achieve results
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, standing, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, calculator and drive a car.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
