BASIC PURPOSE: The University Recruiting and Early Careers Leader is responsible for building out, scaling and improving enterprise-wide intern programs and university recruiting strategies. This position plays a key role in attracting, developing and retaining early talent to build a talent pipeline for our long-term strategic growth.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively hire, train and lead the university team in the full life-cycle recruiting process.
  • Lead and coach the university team by providing feedback and developing plans for growth to ensure the company's hiring needs and recruitment strategies are met.
  • Work with recruiting leadership to review the overall talent acquisition strategy and implementation plans to improve recruiting development programs.
  • Design and manage a robust intern program by identifying and engaging internal partners for successful program design and execution (i.e. Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Talent & Org Effectiveness, business leadership, etc.).
  • Evaluate and implement enhancements and new solutions to our early talent recruiting and programs through continual feedback from key stakeholders including business leaders, managers, interns, and university partners.
  • Identify, develop and foster relationships with local high schools and university partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with department leaders to assess business needs for early career talent.
  • Expand recruiting efforts to drive diversity of early careers talent to support the company’s I&D initiatives.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications to develop recruiting materials and marketing content to attract high-quality and diverse talent.
  • Design and implement new and improved processes, tools and system enhancements to support company needs and improve candidate experience.
  • Generate, measure and report on key metrics of program progress and success.  
  • Identify strategic needs for additional early career development programs; facilitate design and implementation of additional programs accordingly.
  • Collaborate with HRIS, Employee Relations, and Legal to ensure the recruiting/hiring processes are compliant with local and federal labor laws, EEO and AAP and adjust the hiring process as necessary.
  • Other duties assigned as needed. 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field of study required
  • Experience:
      • 7+ years experience in recruiting/talent acquisition
      • 3+ years experience supporting university recruiting, internships, or early career programs
      • Proven experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects and client relationships
      • Demonstrated experience leading individuals and teams without direct authority
      • Proven capabilities to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Skills:
    • Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems (ATS)

  • Typical Physical Demands:
      • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
      • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
      • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
      • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
      • Ability to travel to career fairs and recruiting events during peak on-campus seasons.
