BASIC PURPOSE: The UI Designer is tasked with translating the UX Designer’s output into a professional user interface that combines best industry practices with specific solution needs on a screen-by-screen, or component basis.



  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of visual design, including system thinking and visualization of concepts
  • Creates strong concepts and engages during ideation process
  • Demonstrates ability to be a visual and verbal storyteller by delivering insights about people and behavior in a way that generates empathy, emotion and engagement from the client and design team
  • Has advanced understanding of, and is able to extend a visual language, or design frameworks for interactive platforms. This includes responsive webdesign/app, iOS Human Interface Guidelines,  and material designAndroid Material Design, etc.
  • Effectively communicates research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design and design rationale both verbally and visually
  • A leader in identifying trends and following key industries and technologies
  • Works with UX Team, customers and prospects to design components and content with an understanding of how they contribute to end-to-end customer experiences. Gains insights by leveraging appropriate participatory and iterative design processes, and assists UX leadership in conducting observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to learn about user behavior, best practices and verify design concepts.
  • Understands the visual limitations and opportunities of various solutions and existing frameworks.
  • Works closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented accurately
  • Participates as a contributor and, at times, a leader with an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, design researchers, product managers, business analysts, technical and functional architects, and software developers
  • Creates wireframes at varying levels of fidelity depending on project needs, from basic sketches to fully annotated requirements documentation
  • Develops interactive prototypes to be used for concept testing, usability testing, or as documentation of the user experience for engineering
  • Participates and at times leads Usability Testing within Agile
  • Executes Quality Assurance and validates designs are implemented accurately by development teams.
  • 4-year college degree in graphic/systems/interaction design, MIS, HCI or relevant field required.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in web or mobile application architecture design (Agile)
  • Strong ability to develop and extend brands across multiple platforms
  • A stellar portfolio with small, medium and large brand experience including a focus on interactive platforms
  • Proficient with standard industry software such as Adobe CC, balsamiq, omnigraffle, InVision, Sketch, Zeplin etc.
  • Adaquate knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centric design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including visual design, user research and engineering
  • Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Invision, Sketch, Adobe XD, Zeplin
  • Soft Skills: Strong verbal and oral communication skills, keen attention to detail, ability to multi-task, strong organization skills, flexible, good relationship and self-motivated to take on additional tasks under pressure. Strong ability to develop and extend brands across multiple platforms
