Sr Business Systems Analyst - SAP FICO

BASIC PURPOSE: Responsibility for the optimization of processes throughout their lifecycles from Analysis thru Design, Implementation, Execution and Innovation. Support SAP and various ancillary systems related to a business area.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

SAP FICO with PS (Project Systems), AA (Asset Accounting) and/or FSCM (Financial          
            Supply Chain Mgt.). Must have hands on experience implementing at least two out of
            three with end to end business and system processes

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the SAP FICO implementation, reviewing ticket backlog, prioritizing issues and working them to resolution
  • Help implement SAP improvement projects as required
  • Perform analysis to gather requirements for integration with new SAP modules (PS, MM, SD, HCM and BI/BW)
  • Drive system remediation projects to completion
  • Quickly understand business needs and translate that understanding into a form that leads to the creation and/or composition of better process, organizational and/or technology solutions in line with best practices and standards
  • Learn the ins and outs of the existing solutions and identify potential improvement opportunities for system integrations
  • Responsible for the configuration and ownership of Love’s implementation for their functional area (FICO, PS and FSCM)
  • Elicit and effectively communicate internal and external customer requirements for system and process changes
  • Analyze and document as-is process and complete supporting documentation, including process diagrams
  • Discover process gaps
  • Establish process performance measurements to be able to constantly monitor, control and report end-to-end process performance
  • Contribute to process community
  • Develop and maintain best process management approach for Business and IT
  • Define, document and communicate future state solutions
  • Perform feasibility studies/solution reviews and make appropriate recommendations
  • Understand and ensure that quality standards are met
  • Oversee development and maintenance of documentation (test scripts, specs, etc.) in Solution Manager
  • Understand the supported line of business from end-to-end and its impact on other business areas
  • Understand and follow project life cycle and solution development life cycle methodology
  • Knows help desk procedures
  • Understands business/IT Integration principles
  • Creates functional specifications and delivers them to developers/engineers when unable to handle changes with configuration
  • Performs unit testing and integration testing of software changes
  • Communicates process and system changes to continuous education team
  • Assists with UAT
  • Coordinates new SAP releases with business process owners, super users, developers and basis team
  • Troubleshoot configuration problems, research OSS notes, creates OSS notes
  • Perform updates to training tools and knowledge warehouse as needed
  • Assists in development
  • Monitors metrics around SAP Tier 1 support
  • Extensive functional and technical knowledge for troubleshooting issues to determine whether process, ABAP or configuration changes are needed
  • Other duties assigned as needed

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience:
    • 10-12+ years directly related experience designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Financials solutions
    • Prefer 3+ Full Lifecycle Implementations
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0, Business Intelligence, BOBJ, BPC, data warehousing, application and design integration, SOA, Microsoft.Net, ABAP, web services and workflow/process automation
    • Strong Problem assessment/analytical skills
    • Capable of thinking of the big picture and sorting through an ambiguous environment
    • Ability to work within resource and time constraints
    • Ability to manage 100+ emails per day
    • Ability to manage numerous competing demands in an extremely high stress environment
    • Ability to manage 3rd party software products bolt on to SAP
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
