Sr Business Systems Analyst

BASIC PURPOSE: Perform business analysis activities and support for the Love’s Family of Companies in support of Truck Care solutions.  Position will support the IT solutions for Truck Care, including requirements elicitation, tracking, clarification and communication, specification writing and validation of solutions.  Additional duties include testing solutions and providing support for a 24/7 business.



  • Demonstrated experience in a customer facing support role.
    • Resolves product issues by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and documenting the best solution to solve the problem, expediting and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Analyze and document as-is and to-be processes, data and systems utilizing appropriate diagramming and documentation methodologies
  • Identify, write and publish Support Knowledge Articles
  • Elicit, communicate and manage requirements
  • Working knowledge of business areas supported to help identify system solutions that encompass people, processes and technology
  • Perform gap analysis and feasibility assessment of solutions in order to make recommendations
  • Understand integration points between internal and external systems
  • Understand and ensure that quality standards are met relevant to documentation and solution delivery – complete solution specifications and integration mapping documents
  • Work with technical resources to deliver solutions, troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities for improvement, including error handling and monitoring
  • Creation and execution of test plans and scripts in support of solution delivery
  • Identify issues or potential issues and perform root cause analysis of issues to recommend resolutions
  • Works with team leadership to contribute to departmental goals and service level agreements
  • Clearly communicate work status to business leads, manager, and other stakeholders
  • Work on project delivery and support once solutions are in production – requires on-call work
  • Collaborates with other IT and business resources to understand issues, plan work and deliver solutions
  • Serve as liaison between relevant Truck Care operations and IT groups to facilitate identification and resolution of issues
  • Other duties assigned as needed



  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as Business Analyst
      • Prefer 3 years’ experience as Senior Business Analyst in a retail setting



  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Travel up to 25%
  • On-call support required



  • Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of various integration protocols to consume and transmit data internally and with external companies
    • Creative thinking and ability to quickly solve complex problems
    • Facilitation and communication skills, including ability to communicate with business leaders and external partners
    • Ability to be flexible in an ambiguous environment
    • Ability to work within resource and time constraints
    • Displays mastery of job responsibilities and works autonomously on numerous assignments of critical nature
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of tools including Office, Visio, Excel, Project
    • Knowledge of relational databases, data warehouse models and ability to perform intermediate SQL queries
    • Experience in Agile methodology as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or Scrum Master
    • Experience with Azure Devops (ADO)
    • Experience with SAP
    • Experience with Salesforce preferred
    • Knowledge of Itil best practices, ITIL Foundation certification preferred
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
    • Requires average range of hearing and vision
