Welcome to Love's: Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores is looking for a Senior Application Administrator / Site Reliability Engineer to join our Platform Operations Group. As a member of the SRE team, you will help marry software engineering with system administration to build and run highly reliable, scalable, and efficient services, keep our critical applications operating by managing day to day performance that includes, hardware, software, provisioning, troubleshooting, security hardening, deployments, and engaging with other teams. The team plays a critical role in ensuring optimal application performance by working with Developers, Security, and other teams to improve performance and availability for the company and its customers.

Job Functions:

• Work with other team members collaboratively in understanding and resolving application and platform issues. Ensure platform and application stability and reliability.
• Write code and automation scripting (PowerShell, Terraform, Python, etc.) to reduce administration time, automate operations tasks, design for failure, measure everything, and continually raise the bar for availability, performance, and developer velocity.
• Manage Internet Information Server (IIS), sites, servers, and applications.
• Create CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to deploy updates and packages to our various environments when requested by the developers and business owners.
• Complete project tasks as assigned on time.
• Follow established processes for change control (ITIL) and Agile methodologies.
• Be part of an on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support for our applications.
• Able to understand and troubleshoot complex problems and provide solutions.
• Work with other members of the team, developers, analysts, and server group to provide operational support and triage.
• Resolve production issues when they arise and work with other teams on their production issues when our applications are affected.
• Proactively monitor the applications and servers (performance, security, file sizes, uptime, etc).
• Identify poorly performing applications and servers, as well as take steps to improve performance - this includes redesign and maintenance.
• Create and manage documentation and wikis related to resolutions, workarounds, day-to-day tasks, short cuts, and configuration changes.
• Resolve tickets based on priority and SLAs.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Experience and Qualifications:

• College degree is preferred
•  
• Minimum of 5 years of application administration, site reliability experience, experience with application and infrastructure performance and stability and operational support in large scale environments OR recent college graduate.

Skills and Physical Demands:

•  
• Prior experience with supporting cloud-based applications.
• Experience with AWS and Azure (PaaS & SaaS) is required.
• Knowledge of Web Hosting in Windows Environment.
• Knowledge of Heroku, MuleSoft, GitHub, ADO, Sitecore, and .Net is a plus.
• Knowledge of Splunk is required and knowledge of ServiceNow and AppDynamics of other APM is a plus.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Python, PowerShell, etc. ).
• Willingness to learn and support various applications is a must.
• Good written and verbal communications are a must.
• Understanding of Agile / DevOps methodologies is a plus.
• Certifications related to Microsoft / AWS are a plus.
• Azure Fundamentals
• Azure Administrator Associate
• AWS Cloud Essentials
• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
• This position is located in-office at Love's Corporate HQ in Oklahoma City.
