      BASIC PURPOSE: Love’s is seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor of Software Delivery to lead and manage our Software Delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and mentoring the software development teams in effective and high-performance software delivery, meeting business requirements, following best practices, and being scalable, secure, and efficient. The Supervisor of Software Delivery will also ensure the software development teams are following Love’s defined software delivery methodologies through coaching, process improvements, and maturation.

 

     MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage a team that ensures the software development teams are enabled to deliver high quality, stable, scalable, and secure applications.
  • Define and maintain software development methodology standards, policies, and procedures, and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Understand modern software delivery methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, and Lean to coach and mentor software development teams in those methodologies.
  • Support strategic portfolio management processes through creation of software development roadmaps, dependency identification and coordination of multi-disciplinary resources.
  • Establishes Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) with software development teams, providing regular updates with milestones, insightful trends, and escalation of deviations. 
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize backlog items, and ensure the team's work aligns with business goals.
  • Provide support and guidance in the selection and implementation of Agile tools to improve team efficiency and collaboration.
  • Mentor and coach team members to promote professional growth and development.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
  • Experience/Skills:
    • Proven experience as an Agile Coach or Scrum Master with a track record of successful software delivery.
    • Solid understanding and practical experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Proficiency in Agile project management tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello, or similar.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience with digital transformations preferred, not required.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Agile-related certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) or equivalent.
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
