SAP Procurement Analyst

BASIC PURPOSE: The SAP Procurement Analyst is responsible for reviewing and analyzing SAP Procurement data and translating that data into actionable information.  Serve as a subject matter expert on SAP Procurement systems.   



  • Documenting SAP systems and business processes.
  • Creating and running all SAP procurement reports.  Measure what matters.  Make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Conducting spend analyses on current and potential purchases. 
  • Prepare complete cost-benefit analysis on existing procurement work and future opportunities.
  • Work with internal customers to identify and source managed spend opportunities.
  • Support or directly execute sourcing events as needed.
  • Provide level one contract review on all sourcing deals.
  • Identify repetitive spend candidates for move to Ariba.
  • Responsible for the SAP Materials Master data.
  • Be the liaison between Procurement and IT on SAP system related matters.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.



  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management or a business-related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • SAP Procurement systems experience required.
    • Ariba procurement module experience preferred.



  • Skills:
    • Hard skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required, experience with large scale accounting systems strongly preferred.
    • Soft Skills: Ability to learn new software applications and computer programs; ability to type efficiently and accurately; comfortable handling multiple interruptions and adjusting priorities throughout the workday while meeting deadlines; ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with diverse individuals and to consistently handle interpersonal situations in a professional and respectful manner; excellent memory and organizational ability, and sufficient arithmetic skills to perform routine accounting and mathematical computations.
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
    • Possible evening/weekend work
