SAP IT Master Data Analyst

BASIC PURPOSE: Support Love’s Family of Companies’ implementation of SAP solutions, including production support, enhancements and project related work as it relates to master data for sites, materials/articles, and other IT managed master data.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of SAP master data for the following areas, with potential for other areas to be determined
  • Materials/Articles
  • Sites/Plants
  • Understand integration points between SAP modules including MM, SD, PM, WM, TM, FI
  • Understand integration points between Love’s SAP implementation and external solutions as it relates to master data in order to identify constraints and impacts of master data changes
  • Elicit, communicate and manage data requirements across stakeholders
  • Collaborate with functional and technical team resources to identify and evaluate solutions for master data maintenance or input to functional design as it relates to master data
  • Understand and perform article/material extensions and listing
  • Work with IT and business resources to perform testing of solutions, including preparation of test scenarios and scripts
  • Log issues and maintain status in issue tracking system for prioritizing work and reporting status
  • Create transports to enable solution changes in SAP using Charm
  • Analyze and document as-is processes and systems, determine gaps and define to-be processes and systems
  • Assess break/fix, maintenance and enhancement requests for feasibility and scope of solution
  • Quickly understand business needs and translate that understanding into solutions, including identifying opportunities for process and system performance
  • Train users on use of material management tools enabled for business use and make recommendations for process or system improvements
  • Other duties assigned as needed

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3+ years directly related experience in material/article and/or plant/site maintenance in SAP
  • Preferred experience in IS-Retail solution

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Attention to detail
  • Strong Problem assessment/analytical skills
  • Knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools, including MS Visio preferred
  • Knowledge of Winshuttle or LSMW required
  • Ability to work within resource and time constraints
  • Ability to manage 100+ emails per day
  • Ability to manage numerous competing demands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discern correct messaging content for the audience
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
