Regional IT Program Manager

BASIC PURPOSE: The position of Regional IT Program Manager will be responsible for a team of remote technicians stationed in various geographical locations with the network of Love’s Travel locations. This position will be responsible for program development, strategic alignment with store operations, establishing KPI’s, and reporting information to senior management. The position of Regional IT Program Manager will work with various departments throughout the organization to align and assign IT resources with the needs of stores and other remote locations.



  • Establish a brand for the Regional IT Program and ensure that technicians have exceptional customer service
  • Effectively and efficiently direct the day to day operations of a team of remote technicians
  • Extend the Regional IT Program throughout the country
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time to ensure technicians are performing at a high level
  • Identify patterns of opportunity within the computing environment and strategically align resources to close gaps
  • Build relationships with key field leadership resources to better understand needs
  • Partner with helpdesk to mature processes for identifying recurring problems and expedite resolution of problems
  • Generate and leverage KPI to continually improve operations and better meet the needs of an ever-changing business
  • Establish a schedule whereby maintenance is performed at each store regularly
  • Work with the warehouse to maintain an inventory of appropriate equipment for fast break fix resolution
  • Partner with the IT Store Installation team to ensure that store openings meet expectations of all operations teams
  • Establish store opening score cards to make sure that installations are captured accurately
  • Oversee the fleet of vehicles assigned to the team making sure that regular maintenance is performed
  • Grow remote technicians through training, development, mentoring, etc. into leaders who take ownership of their areas of oversight
  • Efficiently lead the team seeking fiscal discipline while maintaining a high level of operational excellence
  • Coordinate and oversee third party vendor installation
  • Create detailed reports reflecting IT issues and resolution
  • Partner with General Managers and District Managers within division to identify and resolve IT issues
  • Other duties assigned as needed.



  • Education:
    • REQUIRED: Bachelor Degree
    • PREFERRED: Project Management Certifications, Lean Six Sigma Training, etc.
  • Experience:
    • REQUIRED: 5 years of experience in a project management or business analyst role
    • REQUIRED: 3 years of supervisory experience with direct reporting responsibility
    • PREFERRED: Previous experience in a Retail or Retail support environment



  • Skills:
    • Hard Skills: Technical knowledge of desktop/laptop computers, peripherals, Windows 7, Windows 10, and the Microsoft Office Suite; ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation and OEM guides; capable of utilizing remote desktop support tools to solve problems; basic understanding of LAN and WAN internetworking devices like routers and switches; technical writing ability to develop knowledge base articles.; technical writing ability to develop knowledge base articles and root cause analysis; ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks.
    • Soft Skills: Strong customer service orientation; effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills; strong written and oral communication skills; analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail; self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under littler supervision; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to travel
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
    • Overnight travel required
