Project Manager - Network & Voice Services

BASIC PURPOSE: The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute and finalize complex technical projects, primarily related to Network and Voice Services, according to deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultant in to order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will work with Business and Technical representatives to define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout the projects lifecycle.



  • Plan, execute, and finalize complex technical projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • Assist in evaluating, recommending, configuring and designing solutions that address business needs and/or improve existing capabilities.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables and success criteria that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track and monitor project progress and effectively communicate the plan
  • Communicate with various business stakeholders to identify needs and create user stories.
  • Establish regular project meetings with team members to garner updates and confirm that tasks and milestones are on target and being completed on time
  • Build a positive team culture around projects that welcomes challenges and aggressively pursues excellence while working together
  • Work with Business and Technical teams to estimate resources needed to achieve project goals.
  • Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using Love’s project management tools.
  • Utilize leadership skills to drive results and influence those who are outside the direct control of the project team.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage issues, conflicts within the project team, project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Support application end users through troubleshooting, technical support, and training.
  • Create and maintain documentation on work completed. Develop roadmaps and project summaries to effectively communicate status
  • Other duties assigned as needed.



  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, MIS, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
    • PMP certification is preferred; CBAP, ITIL and scrum master certifications are a nice to have
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of work experience as project manager / business analyst
    • Experience conducting research into project related issues and products.


  • Hard Skills:
    • Familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project and Visio
    • Knowledge of project management and development lifecycle processes
    • Ability to understand complex problems and bring resolution
    • Practical understanding of ITIL and ability to apply
    • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, O365 and similar productivity tools
    • The ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, team player and customer service skills.
    • Ability to stay organized and be detail oriented.
    • Self-motivated with ability to follow organizational processes and procedures.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills.
    • Ability to analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies and propose better solutions.
    • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and conditions, quickly learn new software solutions and improve business process using those solutions.
    • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating needs assessments and budgets
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
    • Possible on-call availability.
