BASIC PURPOSE: The Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing various aspects of Love’s Supply Chain operations to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and cost reduction.  This is a diverse and broad role that will support several teams through: data analysis and reporting, systems support, process improvement, project management, amongst a host of other support functions. A core function of this role will be building strong business-relationships with internal and external cross-functional teams. This role will require up to 25 percent travel.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Support

  • Lead and develop initiatives and projects to support all Supply Chain functions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze current processes and workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to streamline operations
  • Identify and prevent data integrity challenges related to Supply Chain operations
  • Flex as a Logistics Planner during vacations, peak-season, and on an as-needed basis

     Analysis

  • Utilize various data analysis techniques to examine operational data, identify trends, and uncover insights to improve efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operational processes and recommend corrective actions
  • Ability to understand process flows, identify gaps, and implement improved process efficiency standards and effectively communicate to leadership

     Supply Chain Technology

  • Become a SME (subject matter expert) in transportation management and warehouse management applications capable of handling configuration and administrative functions
  • Drive continuous improvements efforts to streamline system processes

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:   

Education:

  • BA degree or higher in Supply Chain Management or other business-related field and/or 5 years relevant work experience

Experience:

  • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of logistics/supply-chain/distribution systems
  • Knowledge of industry trends, “best practices” and Six Sigma process improvements are preferred 
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques
  • Knowledge and usage of analytics software and Tableau and/or SQL preferred

  • Must thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel

     Typical Physical Demands:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
  • Occasional lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
  • Travel required as needed
  • On-call availability
