BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to work with federal, state, county and city agencies to secure licensing for Love’s and its family of companies. The Licensing Coordinator also participates as a team member to process license renewals in a timely manner to prevent any interruption in the operation of a store or other business due to licensing issues. This position will interact with all aspects of Love’s offerings; fuel (including alternative fuels), retail sales, gaming, alcohol, food concepts, tire care, and logistics.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle confidential information which would have immediate impact on the company operations, performance or value if shared beyond its intended audience.
  • Assist multiple departments in obtaining and maintaining licenses for new and ongoing business activities of Love’s and its affiliates.
  • Process license renewals as they are received to ensure their completion prior to their expiration date.
  • Complete applications, gather required supporting documents and signatures, and issue necessary payment.
  • Work independently and utilize time management in submitting license applications and in monitoring the processing time to acquire the license in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with agencies, as needed, to ascertain licensing requirements, status of licenses, and assure licenses are received in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the License Database with current and accurate information and utilize the database to monitor status of all licenses.
  • Scan and maintain electronic database of licensing documentation and instructions, updating and purging information as needed, to maintain accurate records.
  • Meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
  • Assist personnel with licensing issues (obtain new or replacement licenses, as needed).
  • Review bi-weekly payroll reports for changes in personnel that would require a modification to an existing license.
  • Monitor and research changes to business activities which impact licensing.
  • Assist with administrative and other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School degree or equivalent required  
  • Licensing experience and experience working with government agencies is a plus
  • General office experience, with emphasis on detailed record keeping, organization and oral communication.

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro or similar programs; Strong computer skills is a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, detail oriented, keen attention to detail, team player, time management skills, and the ability to multitask
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.    
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

 

This position is located at Love's Corporate Headquarters in Oklahoma City. The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.
