IT Hardware Asset Management Analyst

BASIC PURPOSE: The IT Asset Management Analyst will maintain, monitor, and report on IT inventory levels across the company.  This position will review inventory levels, order new materials/equipment, perform daily analysis, and monitor/report on inventory management processes.  The individual will demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to interpret and analyze large amounts of data.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inventory Management
    • Perform weekly inventory audits and report results to management
    • Work with management to set inventory levels and identify obsolete product
    • Ensure incoming inventory has been received and accounted for
    • Run daily inventory analysis to identify potential shortages
    • Optimize warehouse layout to streamline inventory placement
    • Identify equipment for redeployment or salvage
    • Assist with migrating existing assets into Inventory Management software
    • Prepare detailed reports to management on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments
    • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports to various departments

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • High-school diploma required
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience:
    • 2-4 years of related warehouse and/or inventory management experience 
    • 2-4 years of SAP experience is preferred

 

      SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of receiving and inventory management practices
    • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent listening and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate ideas in both technical and business terms
    • Highly self-motivated and directed; keen attention to detail; proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
    • Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment; strong customer service orientation; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines
    • Occasional travel may be required
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, and other computer components
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
