OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION: The Field Human Resources Representative is responsible for administrative and general support of day-to-day operations within the Field Human Resources Department.


JOB SUMMARY: The Field Human Resources Representative will perform various tasks to provide support to the Field Human Resources Department through assisting with employee relations matters and general administrative tasks to ensure the department runs smoothly.



  • Provide administrative support to the Field Human Resources department on a variety of projects, programs, and issues; compile data; solicit and research information from a variety of sources.
  • Manage unemployment processing for assigned districts or divisions
  • Partner with risk/legal departments in completing employee records requests
  • Complete daily download of exit interview data and distribute to the appropriate HR Partner for review and submission
  • Review customer service emails that involve employee relations matters and distribute to the appropriate HR Partner
  • Responsible for state-specific reporting and projects
  • Audit weekly/monthly payroll deductions and vacancies for employee lodging
  • Ordering labor law posters for new store openings and replacement requests
  • Assist with handling employee relations matters which includes working with each Field HR Partner to best assist on employee complaints, concerns, or questions
  • Receive, prioritize, and distribute incoming mail, faxes, email, etc.
  • Responsible for internal department reporting
  • Serve as back up on employee recognition program and various HR reports
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • Experience:
    • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules/regulations, procedures, and administration is required
    • 1+ years of professional experience in human resources administration, and including employee relations; or a combination of training, education, and experience equivalent



  • Skills:
    • Hard Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to perform basic administrative and computer functions
    • Soft Skills: Excellent customer service skills with genuine desire to assist others, enthusiastic team player, proper phone and email etiquette, ability to multi-task, detail oriented, strong sense of urgency, good time management skills, ability to exercise independent judgment, ability to use tact and persuasion under pressure in extremely controversial and confrontational situations, ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action, exceptional follow up skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse field employee related issues, concerns, etc.
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Occasional light lifting up to 25lbs
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard
