Welcome to Love's: The Human Resources Representative helps support our business by serving as an expert on unemployment claims and intaking employee questions or concerns.
Job Functions:
- Manage unemployment process for assigned areas utilizing unemployment system, averaging 5 claims per day
- Serve as initial point of contact for employee concerns or questions
- Responsible for accurate documentation regarding employee concerns or questions
- Interpret personnel policies for employees and managers
- Gather data and compile department reporting
- Responsible for understanding human resources policies, procedures, and employment and labor laws to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
- Provide HR guidance to field leadership by determining appropriate resolutions and ensuring follow-up is complete
- Develop and interpret progressive coaching documentation; recommend proper coaching steps to field leadership as appropriate
- Assist field management in implementing corrective action plans and/or performance improvement plans correlating with current policies.
- Aid risk/legal departments upon request for personnel files
- Maintain personal grooming and company uniform standards.
- Maintain company attendance standards.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, Business, or similar field of study preferred
- Knowledge of applicable laws, rules/regulations, procedures, and administration is preferred
- 1+ years of professional experience in human resources is preferred

- Hard Skills: Ability to learn and operate all facility equipment including computers.
- Soft Skills: Excellent customer service skills with genuine desire to assist others, enthusiastic team player, proper phone and email etiquette, ability to multi-task, detail oriented, strong sense of urgency, good time management skills, ability to exercise independent judgment, ability to use tact and persuasion under pressure in extremely controversial and confrontational situations, ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action, exceptional follow up skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse field employee related issues, concerns, etc.
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
- Occasional light lifting up to 25lbs
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard
