<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">BASIC <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">PURPOSE<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">: <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">The main role of this job is to provide support to the Corporate Employee Relations Generalists and Business Partners on various HR matters while accepting responsibility for various HR projects and ongoing tasks. Secondarily the HR Coordinator will relieve the HR Assistants at the front desks of main campus buildings and provide coverage during breaks and lunches.

<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Handle all phases of unemployment claims for corporate employees, including researching and responding to the initial claim and follow-up questions from the OESC, as well as functioning as the company representative for hearings
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Assist and prepare quarterly Gemini bonus audit
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Support Corporate generalists and Gemini business partners with various research projects and/or special projects
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Open, update and close employee claims in Origami
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Support the hiring process for Gemini by performing pre-employment background screenings and reporting to Gemini leadership
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Conducts Exit Interviews for Corporate hourly employees
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Answer employee questions from CorpHR emails
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Provide guidance to HR Assistants as needed
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Relieve the HR Assistants at main campus to provide coverage during break and lunch times
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Assists with recruitment and interview process
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by HR Generalist or Recruiter
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Coordinate the monthly HRA meeting with Sr HR Generalist
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Other duties assigned as needed

    <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Education:
      • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">HS Diploma or equivalent required
      • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Bachelor’s Degree in HR or HR related field strongly preferred
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Experience:
      • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Administrative, customer service or HR experience a plus
      • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">2+ years’ experience in HR preferred
        <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"> 
        <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Skills:
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office, excellent customer service skills, keen attention to detail, good oral and verbal communication skills, general office skills (typing, filing, scheduling) <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">exhibit a professional demeanor, must be able to work successfully with people at all levels of the organization and external customers, ability to multi task, and a team player
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Typical Physical Demands:
        • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
        • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
        • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
        • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
