Fuel Data Analyst

BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to analyze, design, and maintain reports and data for the Retail Fuel Supply department.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather reporting and data requirements from business partners
• Design, develop, and maintain reports and data sets
• Work with complex logistics and fuel pricing related data to report actionable findings to internal or external clients
• Provide accurate and timely reporting using Tableau
• Provide business partners with process improvement related to analytics
• Create and maintain documentation for reporting processes, data flows, and scripts
• Establish necessary controls and checks to ensure data and system integrity is maintained
• Provide application and technical support to end users
• Other duties assigned as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in area related to IT or analytics (CS, MIS, etc.) or equivalent experience
• Experience:
  • 1+ years of experience with technical role and/or analytics preferred
  • 1+ years of experience with Tableau preferred
  • Tableau certifications preferred
  • Python programming experience preferred
  • Background in the Fuel and/or Transportation space preferred

SKILLS, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Skills:
  • Must have advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, data structures, database management systems, and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to follow up, multi-task and prioritize while managing a continuous stream of work, ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and adhere to deadlines
• Typical Physical Demands:
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
