BASIC PURPOSE: The role of the Food Service Operations Intern is to support the operational needs of the Food Service team, while gaining adequate and applicable knowledge for future use. This role provides support in project and category management as well as training & development tools.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain training materials pertaining to our branded partners.
  • Assist with departmental alignment changes by updating across multiple branded platforms.
  • Maintain an integrated calendar to ensure milestones are met across several departments.
  • Assist in communication to field operations to maximize process execution.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • HS diploma or equivalent required
  • Currently enrolled in a four-year university program, a sophomore level or above (pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related degree).

Experience: 

  • Food Service (Restaurant or Grocery) experience
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Demonstrated experience working well in a close team environment

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Ability to work with multiple departments in a fast-paced environment
    • High attention to detail and execution completion of tasks
    • Strong problem-solving skills, multitasking capabilities
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
