Field Human Resources Representative

BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and services in all functional areas of Love’s Field HR.  The HR Representative will support field team members and leaders to maintain a positive employee-employer relationship.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as point of contact for employee questions, grievances or concerns
• Responsible for accurate documentation regarding employee questions, or concerns
• Works closely with field leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase employee retention
• Provide HR guidance to field leadership by determining appropriate resolutions and ensuring follow-up is complete
• Develop and interpret progressive coaching documentation; recommend proper coaching steps to field leadership as appropriate
• Assist field management in implementing corrective action plans and/or performance improvement plans correlating with current policies.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
• Interpret personnel policies for field team members and managers
• Manage unemployment process for assigned districts or divisions
• Serve as point of contact for leave of absence intake and questions
• Gather and analyze data related to employee complaint trends, turnover, and exit interview feedback. Provide summary to filed leadership
• Use data to recognize trends and offer recommendations like additional training on specific topics the trends
• Assist field management with curriculum for HR Training Sessions in field; which may include but not limited to research and development of subject matter relevant to Employee Relations.
• Aid risk/legal departments upon request for personnel files
• Other duties assigned as needed.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Education:
 HS Diploma or equivalent required
 Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, Business or similar field of study preferred
• Experience:
 Knowledge of applicable laws, rules/regulations, procedures, and administration is required
 1+ years of professional experience in human resources administration, and including employee relations preferred

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Skills:
 Hard skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office
 Soft Skills: Excellent customer service skills, proper phone and email etiquette, ability to multi-task, detail oriented, strong sense of urgency, good time management skills, ability to exercise independent judgment, ability to use tact and persuasion under pressure in extremely controversial and confrontational situations, ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action, exceptional follow up skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse field employee related issues, concerns, etc.

• Typical Physical Demands:
 Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
 Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
 Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
 Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
