The need to provide strategic business value to this family-owned organization has created an opportunity for a new position, the Digital Media Strategist.

 

     BASIC PURPOSE: The Digital Media Strategist serves as a reflection of Love’s core values as a liaison to our customers. The Digital Media Strategist is responsible for creating and executing digital campaign strategies and  brand specific campaigns while managing engagement on a day-to day basis to enhance Love’s and the Love’s Family of Companies. The person also supports company content creation goals by contributing original content to company website(s), social media platforms, company intranet and internal newsletter.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Social Media

  • Grow Love’s online community presence through strategic social engagement by developing dialog and interactions that align with communications strategic pillars.
  • Develop and implement social media campaigns, seeking necessary leadership approval before posting
  • Identify and develop relationships with community influencers that align with the company’s strategy, brand and mission
  • Use Google analytics, Facebook and LinkedIn Insights and other measurement tools to access trends and activities

Blog & Website

  • Creates original content and manages engagement.
  • Cultivates human interest stories for purpose of posting on social media and/or the Love’s website.
  • Creates and edits video scripts as needed.

Digital Campaigns

  • Manage day to day optimizations, pacing and reporting of digital media campaigns on Love’s social sites.
  • Generate compelling content and campaigns to support communications strategic pillars.
  • Coordinate internal department digital media plans and prepare deliverables and reports.
  • Analyze digital media data to steer future campaign goals.
  • Coordinate with the digital communications team to draft daily posts for all platforms
  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, or public relations.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of digital media creation experience, social media marketing or blogging experience.
    • Must demonstrate skills in social media strategy and content creation.
    • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Content Management Systems (CMS) and web-based software.
    • Experience with Campaign management and optimization experience, media forecasting and estimating experience.

 

     SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Excellent social marketing conversation skills
    • Ability to manage numerous competing demands in a high-stress environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Passion for social media with extensive knowledge of Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
    • Knowledge of social media analytics and measurement
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
