Basic Purpose: The SAP Master Data Coordinator is responsible for managing and administering supplier master data across the enterprise. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, completeness, and compliance of all master data in the SAP system. The administrator will be integral in maintaining high standards of data governance, research, international relations, security, privacy, and quality, while supporting the continuous improvement of data processes across the organization.

 

      Major Responsibilities:

  • Master Data Management:
    Set up and update supplier master data in SAP, ensuring that all information is accurate, complete, and compliant with internal and external standards.
  • System Integration:
    Maintain and monitor the system integration cross-references associated with SAP master data, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
  • Data Governance & Compliance:
    Apply governance skills to develop and maintain enterprise-wide master data management practices and policies using enterprise tools.
  • Data Issue Identification & Resolution:
    Identify, analyze, and resolve data issues related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness, with minimal supervision.
  • Data Profiling & Reporting:
    Establish data profiling techniques to detect data patterns, provide metric/benchmark reporting, and generate actionable insights for data improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Ensure that optimal data governance structures are in place and support ongoing data management initiatives for system and process improvements.
  • Collaboration:
    Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that data quality and master data processes are aligned with organizational needs and industry best practices.
  • Other Duties:
    Perform other duties as assigned by management or project needs.

 

     Education and Experience:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associate’s degree in business administration, Information Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • At least 1 year of experience in a data management, accounting, or similar administrative role.
    • Previous experience with SAP Master Data Management or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.

     Skills and Physical Demands:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) required.
    • Ability to learn new software applications and tools quickly.
    • Strong data management skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of SAP and/or other ERP systems is preferred.
  • Communication & Teamwork:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
    • Occasional bending, stooping, and lifting (up to 25 pounds).
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
    • Requires normal hearing and vision range.
