*This position has a hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office at the OKC corporate campus and 2 days remote*

BASIC PURPOSE: The compensation analyst II assists with planning, developing and implementing new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures in order to be responsive to the company’s goals and competitive practices. 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This is a highly collaborative position which works under general supervision of the senior manager of compensation and benefits and works closely with HR partners and business leaders to ensure the company’s various compensation plans, programs and policies efficiently meet the needs of the business, while adding a high level of quality and financial value.
  • This position will be an integral part of the quarterly and annual incentive processes and will become the primary point of contact for incentive calculations and processing of the store quarterly incentive plan.
  • The compensation analyst will provide analytical support on internal and external salary reporting projects.  Based on the information collected, the analyst will recommend, develop and implement an appropriate employee compensation structure that includes base pay, annual incentive compensation and long-term incentive compensation.
  • The compensation analyst provides appropriate benchmarking and data analytics for compensation plans and manages survey vendor relationships and participation in compensation surveys to assure that data collected and reported represent current competitive market levels for the various lines of business.
  • This position requires applicants who are able to communicate effectively with people of all job levels and personalities. Compensation analysts must have good evaluation skills and the ability to convey information in legible reports to their human resources and executive groups. The compensation analyst must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • This position will utilize market-pricing techniques using benchmark data to determine the correct pricing information to evaluate positions in the labor markets. The compensation analyst will provide information and consulting with business groups of competitive pay positioning regarding base pay, annual incentive and long-term incentive pay, as well as provide an explanation of the appropriate pay mix of each position.
  • The Compensation Analyst keeps apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure company compliance.
  • This position will develop communications regarding annual compensation budget guidelines, changes in compensation policies or practices, incentive plan schedules, processes and results.
  • This position will work with pay grades/bands and evaluate requests for aligning new titles and reclassification of existing jobs and will routinely participate in compensation surveys on behalf of the company.

 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in a field such as human resources, business administration or finance is required.
  • Experience:
    • Previous relevant work experience in compensation administration of 1-3 years is strongly preferred.
    • A CCP designation may be considered in lieu of the preferred work experience.
    • Experience with external market analysis and thorough understanding of market data interpretation.
    • Experience in compensation plan design and delivery strategies in a retail or customer facing environment preferred

    • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills and effectively manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities
    • Excellent analytical skills to interpret survey data and provide cost projections for various initiatives
    • Demonstrate advanced project management and organizational skills
    • Mastery of essential analytical functions within Microsoft Excel and presentations within Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
