BASIC PURPOSE: The role of the Business Systems Analyst is to investigate, document, define and deliver complex solutions and projects according required deliverables and timelines. This includes, coordinating resources, aligning efforts and working with third-party contractors or consultants to help deliver successful projects and initiatives. The Business Systems Analyst will work with Business and Technical teams to help deliver and oversee consistent delivery throughout the SDLC process.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take ownership in delivering required Business Analysis activities from beginning to end with limited oversight
- Define project scope, goals, objectives and deliverables that in collaboration with senior management and key business stakeholders.
- Work within a SCRUM team to deliver projects and initiatives utilizing the Agile Framework when necessary.
- Operate as SCRUM Master when required to facilitate the delivery of projects and initiatives through the SCRUM/Agile prescribed framework.
- Liaise with key project stakeholders and subject matter experts on an ongoing basis.
- Work with Business and Technical representatives to estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with required resources in the business and within teams.
- Provide timely updates and reports to management on an on-going basis.
- Provide Project Management tasks and deliverables as needed for Small to Medium sized projects.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
- Create detailed and accurate deliverables where necessary with limited supervision and guidance.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team when necessary.
- Identify and manage dependencies and critical path items throughout the project lifecycle.
- Adhere to both the Love’s Business Analysis and Project Management practices.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations where needed.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Proactively manage changes in initiatives, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Provide Quality Assurance and Testing activities where necessary to support projects and initiatives.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education:
- REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, math, business is Required
- Experience:
- REQUIRED: Minimum 3-5 years of experience or education/certification as a Business Systems Analyst
- REQUIRED: Knowledge of Business Analysis practices and disciplines
- REQUIRED: Experience working in an Agile Development Environment
- PREFERRED: Experience working within a Retail Sales Organization
- PREFERRED: Experience or understanding of Supply Chain Concepts and Technologies
- PREFERRED: Experience acting and leading SCRUM.
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Skills:
- Hard skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, experience in developing cases, and adept at conducting research into project related issues and products
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills, ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating needs assessments and budgets, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to present in a user-friendly language, self-motivated and directed, keen attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills, team player, and strong customer service orientation.

- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
