BASIC PURPOSE: As a Business Intelligence Developer for Loves, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the design and development of reports using the Microsoft suite of tools (SSRS) and Tableau. Working under the BI Lead, the candidate will be responsible for developing state of the art, enterprise-class reporting solutions that are supportable and scalable.  The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to collaborate and effectively work with other IT and business teams throughout the planning, designing, testing, and implementation phases.  Strong communication skills are also required when dealing with internal and external parties, including vendors and business partners.

  • Work with business units to refine requirements to enhancements and new report requests

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Create complex reporting solutions for multiple business areas
  • Develop scalable solutions to meet business needs
  • Design, implement, and maintain complex ETL processes using SSIS
  • Create technical documentation
  • Other duties assigned as needed


  • Required Experience: 
    • 5+ years of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
    • 5+ years of Tableau experience
    • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2012, 2016, 2019
    • Fundamental understanding of data warehousing concepts
    • Experience with job scheduling tools
  • Preferred Experience: 
    • Snowflake experience
    • Power BI experience
    • Exposure to, and willingness to learn SAP Business Objects
    • Exposure to, and willingness to learn SAP Hana
    • Exposure to, and willingness to learn SAP BW
    • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
    • Agile project experience
  • Education: 
    • HS Diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business with MIS or technology related degree (C.S.)


  • Skills: 
    • Ability to manage numerous competing demands, in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be a self-motivated and require minimal supervision, with excellent problem-solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to think big and offer solutions that go beyond written requirements
    •  Ability to develop detailed technical design documents based on requirements
    • Extensive experience in Software development methodologies
  • Typical Physical Demands: 
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
