Active Directory Systems Administrator II

**This position has a hybrid schedule (3 workdays will be in-office and 2 workdays can be remote/work from home)**

BASIC PURPOSE: The Active Directory (AD) Systems Administrator is responsible for building, configuring, implementing, optimizing, and troubleshooting AD systems in a large, distributed enterprise environment. A functional understanding of infrastructure hardware, operating systems, virtualization, and cloud methodology is needed with a focus on AD architecture, operations, and authentication topology.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Independently process client requests for Active Directory based application access.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation of all systems and application configurations and modifications
  • Authentication Topology
  • Security Patches
  • System Performance Monitoring IAVA Compliance
  • Replication Vendor Hot Fixes
  • Perform or coordinate the following
    • Provide technical support for system and software issues
    • Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
    • Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
    • Perform advanced engineering support for software applications
    • Install identified technologies on virtual servers

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education and Certifications:
    • Certification in Microsoft enterprise software preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 4-6 years in IT administration with experience in MS Windows Server 2012 and 2016.
    • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in an AD administration role is required.
  • Additional experience in Azure AD, M365 and Exchange administration helpful.

    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
