Accounts Receivables Coordinator

BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive customer service related to all areas of the customer accounting process.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzes client financial transactions
  • Primary point of contact in assessing needs, services and managing the overall relationship
  • Monitor billing dashboards and resolve setup discrepancies
  • Initiate contact with new customers to establish relationship
  • Explain billing frequency and payment options and portal payments to new customers
  • Provide guidance to customers in managing system settings to balance customer’s available credit and cash flow           
  • Monitor and administer all account changes across multiple systems
  • Exercise judgment in determining best resolution for company to maintain profit
  • Exercise judgment in determining best resolution for customer to retain customer relationship
  • Maintain accurate account through timely payment application and dispute resolution
  • Use discretion to research and resolve payment issues
  • Use discretion to research and resolve billing issues
  • Input on potential process improvement to prevent future issues
  • Backup other team members when necessary
  • Other duties assigned as needed

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other related field required
    • 1 year commensurate experience per degree year may be substituted
  • Experience:
    • Experience in customer service atmosphere required
    • Customer service experience in a financial account position preferred
    • Experience in accounting is strongly preferred
    • Bilingual Strongly preferred

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Hard skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required, experience with large scale accounting systems strongly preferred, 10 key by touch, high level of accuracy
    • Soft Skills: Ability to learn new software applications and computer programs; ability to type efficiently and

accurately; comfortable handling multiple interruptions and adjusting priorities throughout the workday; ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with diverse individuals and to consistently handle interpersonal situations in a professional and respectful manner; excellent memory and organizational ability, ability to set priorities, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and to meet deadlines, and sufficient arithmetic skills to perform routine accounting and mathematical computations, bilingual strongly preferred

 

  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
