**This position will be Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Employees will get the option to have a hybrid work schedule (i.e. some workdays will be in-office and some workdays can be remote/work from home).**
Basic Purpose: The AP Master Data Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the vendor master data function within the Accounts Payable team. This role ensures the accurate and timely creation, maintenance, and governance of vendor records across systems and entities. The Supervisor leads a team of coordinators or analysts, supports compliance and audit readiness, and partners cross-functionally to uphold data integrity and improve operational processes.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day activities of the Master Data team, ensuring timely vendor setups, updates, and maintenance in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and global compliance standards (e.g., OFAC, FATCA, GDPR).
- Establish and monitor team KPIs, SLAs, and data quality metrics; provide performance feedback and coaching.
- Oversee vendor onboarding, including validation of tax forms, banking details, and legal documentation.
- Manage workload distribution and ensure timely response to vendor inquiries, escalations, and cross-functional requests.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Procurement, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and IT to resolve complex data issues and ensure consistent vendor data practices.
- Lead vendor master data audits, clean-up initiatives, and system migrations or upgrades.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal controls, and data governance frameworks.
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Support training and development of team members to ensure alignment with current processes and best practices.
Education and Experience:
- Preferred associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Master Data Management, Banking, or other related experience.
- Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory role.
- Preferred experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday.
- Preferred familiarity with global regulatory and compliance requirements related to vendor data.
