Welcome to Love's: The Collateral Specialist role will focus on reviewing invoices.
Job Functions:
- Review freight invoices, rate sheets, and bills of lading for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and note discrepancies for exceptions handling and processing.
- Scan, enter, and code key data fields into various software programs and databases.
- Maintain steady workflow and manage meeting of deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Communicate with selected clients, shippers, and freight brokers via phone to do research on invoices and for problem resolution.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume office or fast-paced production environment required.
- Experience with factoring, billing, handling invoices is preferred.
- Experience within the freight or transportation/trucking industry is preferred.
- Experience with accounting is a plus.
Skills and Physical Demands:
- Skills:
- Must be accurate and timely.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Minimum (50) WPM typing; experienced in data entry.
- 10 Key experience is a plus.
- Fast learner, self-motivated, deadline-oriented, adapts easily to change.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Typical Physical Demands:
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
