ERP Business Systems Analyst II - SAP Transportation Management - Dallas, TX

BASIC PURPOSE: Perform business analysis activities for the IT Supply Chain team, including requirements elicitation, tracking, clarification and communication, specification writing, recommending and validating solutions within the SAP TM module.  This position will focus on business analysis related to Distribution and Logistics functionality to support multiple lines of business and cross-functional needs for the Love’s Family of Companies with a focus on functional work, including configuration, technical troubleshooting, and solution design within SAP TM.  Position requires production support (approximately 80%) and enhancements and project work (approximately 20%).

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and document as-is and to-be processes, data, and systems utilizing appropriate diagramming and documentation methodologies
  • Elicit, communicate, and manage requirements
  • Proficient knowledge of business areas supported (transportation management, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, supply chain, etc.)
  • Contribute to the evaluation of solutions within SAP and ancillary solutions that support the business
  • Understand integration points between internal and external systems relevant to business processes and systems supported (SAP TM, Dispatch Solutions, SAP WM, SAP SD, and others)
  • Adhere to quality standards for documentation and solution delivery – complete solution specifications and functional design documents, acceptance criteria in user stories and other forms of requirements documentation as needed
  • Work with technical resources and more tenured ERP analysts to deliver solutions, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for improvement, including error handling and monitoring
  • Configuration of SAP TM functionality
  • Maintain master data within the TM solution to support functionality
  • Assist end users with issues, troubleshooting, training, and other needs relevant to them performing their work
  • Work with some oversight to support transportation planners in their daily operations, providing ancillary support to distribution centers and other relevant business areas who work with transportation requirements.
  • May contribute with oversight on large scale projects where TM work is required and in cross-functional teams to produce work deliverables to meet designated tasks and timelines
  • Work with guidance and some oversight on small to medium scale projects within the TM functional area, with ability to identify own tasks necessary to complete, estimate effort, complete work
  • Creation and execution of test plans and scripts in support of solution delivery
  • Identify trends in issues and perform basic root cause analysis, working with colleagues to resolve
  • Work with colleagues and team to understand priorities for work
  • Clearly communicate work status to team and supervisor
  • Work on project delivery and support once solutions are in production, primary responsibility in production support
  • Identify personal tasks necessary to deliver solutions
  • Identify error handling required to monitor solutions
  • Identify trends and exceptions in processes
  • Identify risks and opportunities within solutions
  • Other duties assigned as needed

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience:
    • 1+ years directly related experience in SAP TM as a functional analyst performing configuration and designing solutions
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

 

      SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of transportation solutions, - SAP TM required; Blue Yonder, or other order scheduling, transportation management, and dispatching solutions preferred
    • Critical thinking and root cause analysis
    • Facilitation and communication skills, including ability to communicate according to audience
    • Typical line of communication is at the peer level and to direct supervisor/manager within the IT organization and across levels within the business areas supported
    • Ability to be flexible in an ambiguous environment
    • Ability to work within resource and time constraints on multiple assignments
    • Ability to manage 50+ emails per day
    • Ability to proficiently execute job responsibilities independently on numerous assignments of critical nature
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of tools, including: Office, Visio, Project, Azure DevOps
    • Experience in diagramming techniques and technology (Visio, Lucidchart) to support clarification and communication of requirements
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
    • Requires occasional visits to warehouse and production facilities with exposure to loud noises
