Welcome to Love's: The Sr. Manager of Marketing Strategy will guide strategic marketing efforts for the Commercial and B2B businesses. This leader will be a thoughtful builder, collaborator, voice of the customer, and champion of business units and marketing activities. 

Job Functions: 

  • Partner with business units to drive growth via the strategic marketing plans
    • Connect corporate and business unit priorities and goals to the development of marketing plans 
    • Define the goals, target customers, research needs, and ROI models
    • Understand financial and performance trends, growth targets, and state of each business and competitive category 
    • Brief internal and agency partners to execute upon aligned strategy
    • Monitor, evaluate, and optimize marketing activities based on performance to goals
  • Drive acquisition of various target audiences to Love’s Commercial offerings
    • Partner with agency to develop and execute multi-channel campaigns aimed at increasing leads
    • Define objectives, customer targets, media channels and budget allocation, and ROI model
    • Monitor and guide optimization needs to ensure campaign is meeting goals and ROI
  • Help define how we go to market for the total commercial and B2B business, while continuing to lead plans for each individual business unit
    • Partner with the Sr. Director of Marketing to bring a “one proposition” approach to a complex set of businesses
    • Define where we bundle business and offerings, where we don't, and how we story tell as a company that offers a variety of products and services
  • Lead strategic thinking on how to further evolve our Professional Driver engagement, especially in connection to the Love’s Rewards program
    • Be the subject-matter-expert on the category landscape, macro and micro trends, new marketing tools, and competitive activity
    • Own the process of developing and understanding the micro-target audiences that we can attract and retain
    • Test and learn through creative messaging, promotional offers, and media channels to learn what is most impactful and efficient to further develop

 

  • Oversee day-to-day team interactions and business necessities
    • Train, coach and develop direct team of employees, building trusted relationships and prioritizing workloads to enable high-impact outcomes
    • Manage day-to-day budgets
    • Champion continuous learning and development to help grow a world-class marketing team

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Strategy, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of marketing and leadership experience, preferably in large-scale retail or CPG environments. B2B experience is a plus
  • Experience managing teams and influencing cross-functional partners

Skills and Physical Demands:  

  • Strong leadership with high emotional intelligence, executive presence, and ability to influence and collaborate across teams and partners
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with marketing briefs, integrated plans, and storytelling
  • Background in lead generation marketing and advertising
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and clearly communicate insights
  • Experience with marketing research and tools (e.g., Tableau, Circana, qualitative and quantitative methods)
  • Financial acumen including P&L management, ROI modeling, performance tracking, and budget oversight
  • Ability to balance customer needs with business objectives in decision-making
  • Curious, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and timelines
