Position Summary 

A Logistics Coordinator focuses on the real-time execution and support of fuel deliveries, working closely with drivers to ensure everything runs smoothly once a delivery is scheduled. They communicate directly with drivers during active deliveries to provide assistance, resolve issues, and respond to any delays or emergencies. Logistics Coordinators also track live delivery statuses, maintain accurate records, and ensure clear communication between drivers, dispatch, and customers. They monitor fuel inventory levels and report any urgent needs or discrepancies, helping Fuel Schedulers adjust plans as needed. This role requires strong communication and multitasking skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and familiarity with dispatch systems and customer service tools. Logistics Coordinators work hand-in-hand with Fuel Schedulers to ensure delivery plans are executed efficiently and safely.Shape 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist with the day-to-day coordination of fuel deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate execution. 

  • Act as a primary contact for drivers during their routes, offering guidance and resolving delivery-related concerns. 

  • Track delivery progress in real time and take action when delays, route changes, or unexpected issues arise. 

  • Document driver interactions and delivery updates with accuracy and attention to detail. 

  • Facilitate smooth communication between drivers, dispatch teams, and customer contacts. 

  • Monitor fuel levels at delivery sites and escalate any urgent supply issues or discrepancies. 

  • Partner with Fuel Schedulers to relay field updates and support adjustments to delivery plans. 

  • Promote safe and efficient delivery operations by following company procedures and regulatory standards. 

  • Take on additional tasks and special assignments as directed by leadership.

Qualifications 

Education: 

  • High school diploma or GED required. 

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred. 

Experience: 

  • 0–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, or fuel distribution preferred. 

  • Experience in a 24/7 environment is a plus.

  • Strong multitasking and time management skills in a high-volume, fast-paced setting. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software platforms. 

  • Ability to manage 200+ emails/messages per shift. 

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and receive feedback constructively. 

  • Team-oriented with a customer-first mindset.

Physical Demands 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

  • Occasional bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs. 

  • Manual dexterity for keyboard and office equipment use. 

  • Normal hearing and vision required for communication and monitoring systems.
