DEF Regional Marketer

BASIC PURPOSE: The DEF Regional Marketer will construct, maintain and build upon a book of 3rd party business within a designated territory by applying innovative problem solving and value add solutions to business opportunities.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Market Development:

  • Establishment of a viable customer base across an assigned region.
  • Swiftly gain an understanding of market demand and general market opportunities for the product line(s)
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the “market players” and corresponding market positions
  • Coordinate with Mid-office & Back-office to manage the establishment of the new customers’ set up process.
  • Work with Refined Fuel Marketing and/or Love’s Fleet Sales to add enterprise value across the region

Customer Service:

  • Effectively manage customer relationships
  • Communicate monthly price changes and impacts of market conditions
  • Support back office and scheduling by serving as an interface to customers
  • Excellent problem solving abilities resulting in win/win outcomes

Analysis:

  • Analysis of market pricing characteristics and volume trends across their region.
  • Responsible for the management of PNL for regions.
  • Meet and exceed forecasted sales volume & revenue targets for territory
  • Monitor customer volume reporting and proactively identify problem areas
  • Maintain forecasts for volume and margin within territory
  • Track Pipeline activity and report weekly progress to Management

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • HS Diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years sales experience within the energy industry preferred

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills: :
    • Hard Skills: SRA- working understanding of PNL, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook & Powerpoint
    • Soft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self motivated, good time management skills, and innovative thinking.
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
    • Extensive travel will be required
