**This is a hybrid remote/in-person position. **


BASIC PURPOSE: Under the direction of the Manager of Benefits, the Leave Administrator performs a variety of tasks focusing on the tracking and processing of Leave of Absences, which include FMLA, ADA, USERRA, and premium payment reminders.



  • Process requests for Leave of Absence according to company policy, as well as adhering to Department of Labor guidelines.
  • Process and distribute appropriate supporting documentation in regard to leave within company and Department of Labor guidelines.  This could include but is not limited to Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, premium payment notifications, FMLA response packets, FMLA denials, and USERRA.
  • Maintain the process that tracks leave of absences, premium payments, ADA and FMLA qualifications.
  • Research and provide answers related to various benefits issues related to leave.
  • Provides the highest quality customer experience and exceeds expectations of all internal and external customers by handling all questions, complaints, and inquiries with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism.
  • Creatively solves customer issues and provides resolutions to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Detailed documentation of customer incidents and resolutions in case records, emails, etc. in a proficient, accurate, and timely manner. 
  • Work with necessary team members on training and process improvement recommendations 
  • Other duties assigned as needed.



  • Education:
    • HS Diploma or equivalent required
    • Some college a plus
  • Experience:
    • Administrative, at least 1 – 4 years in the Employee Benefits/Leave arena
    • Knowledgeable in FMLA, USERRA, HIPAA, ADA, ERISA, and the Affordable Care Act
    • SAP and SuccessFactors experience a plus



  • Skills:
    • Must be computer proficient with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Good communication skills, detail oriented, well organized, flexible, able to perform multiple tasks, and
    • Collaborate with other team members, ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, as well as processes, ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, ability to synthesize rules, regulation, and legislation and apply to real-life situations, must have empathetic customer service orientation, including the ability to relate to employees and apply employee dispute resolution strategies, ability to maintain confidential information
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
